Who Cares About Design History?

Design is deeply intertwined with society—it reflects culture, communicates messages, and shapes our visual world. The book Who Cares About Design History brings together essays on key moments, theories, and figures in graphic design history to explore their influence and evolution.

The texts offer different perspectives on historical, aesthetic, and social aspects without presenting a definitive design history. They highlight how design is in constant flux, shaped by cultural and theoretical movements.

While many authors come from academic backgrounds and Western cultures, the book aims to encourage critical thinking. It reflects design as a dynamic field shaped by diverse voices and ongoing discourse.

This collection is a snapshot of a larger conversation on graphic design. It invites readers to explore further, ask questions, and view design history from new perspectives.
